DREAM

What Dream Do You Have?

What dream do you have?

What dream do you have? Will you fulfill your dreams in this life? You want to, I'm sure of it. You undoubtedly hope to. Will you carry it out though? How much of a chance would you give yourself? one out of five? One out of 100? A million to one? How can you know if your chances are favorable or if your dream will always be just that—a dream? Furthermore, are you prepared to put it to the test?

I've met a lot of folks who dream. In reality, I have inquired about dreams from hundreds, if not thousands, of people. Some enthusiastically and in great detail describe it. Others are hesitant to discuss it. They appear ashamed to speak it aloud. They have never put their dream to the test. They are unsure if people will make fun of them. They are unsure of whether their goals are too high or too modest. They are unsure of whether their dream is something they can actually realize or if they will ultimately fail.

Most people are clueless about how to fulfill their aspirations. The only thing they have is a hazy idea of what they want to achieve or who they want to be in the future. But they have no idea how to go from one place to another. You'll be relieved to know that there is hope if that describes you.

Before taking the test, be aware of the solutions.

Do you have any memories of your teachers telling you to pay attention now since this will be on the test when you were in school and conducting a review before a test? I do. Teachers who were supportive and genuinely cared about their pupils' success frequently used phrases like that. They desired for us to be ready so that we could perform properly. They challenge us, but they also prepare us for success.

To you, I want to be like one of those uplifting teachers. In order for you to actually realize your ambition, I want to prepare you to put it to the test. How? You will have a great chance of succeeding in your goals if you are aware of the correct questions to ask yourself and can respond positively to those questions. The likelihood of success increases the more questions you can confidently address!

The Correct and Incorrect Vision of a Dream

I've spent close to 40 years researching successful people. I've known hundreds of famous people who fulfilled their lofty goals. I've also fulfilled a handful of my personal goals. I've found that a lot of individuals hold false beliefs about dreams. Look at a few of the things that people seek in their lives and refer to as their dreams:

  • Daydreaming: A diversion from the task at hand
  • Pie-in-the-sky Dreams – irrational notions without a plan or foundation in reality
  • Worries from bad dreams that cause fear and paralysis
  • Dreams of the ideal world, as it might be if you were in charge
  • Dreams lived through others are known as vicarious dreams.
  • Romantic Dreams: The Hope that You Will Be Happy With Someone
  • Career Dreams: The idea that achieving achievement in your career will make you happy
  • Destination Dreams: The idea that obtaining a position, title, or accomplishment will make you happy
  • Material Dreams: The idea that having money or other material items will make you happy

What are excellent dreams if not ones that are legitimate and deserving of a person's life?

A dream is a motivating vision of the future that energizes your mind, will, and emotions and inspires you to do everything in your power to realize it. Here is my definition of a dream that can be tested and pass. A vision and plan for one's purpose and potential is a dream that is worthwhile pursuing. Or, in the words of my friend Sharon Hull, "A dream is the seed of possibility sown in a human being's soul, calling him to pursue a special route to the realization of his purpose."

What do you envision?

Dreams are priceless treasures. They help us advance. They energize us. They get us fired up. Everyone should harbor a dream. But what if you're unsure about whether you want to pursue a dream? Let's be honest. Many people were discouraged from having dreams. Others have aspirations but give up on them after losing hope.

I want you to be aware of some positive news. Your dreams can be rediscovered or reclaimed. And they don't all need to be enormous to be worthwhile to pursue; they might be large dreams. Simply said, they must be larger than you. Dreams arrive in sizes that are too large for us to fit within, as the actress Josie Bisset observed.

If you've given up, lost sight of your ambition, or never found something that inspires you to dream and strive toward it, it can be helpful to learn about the top five reasons why people struggle to define their dream. These are:
